Kristina Šermukšnytė-Alešiūnienė

Kristina Šermukšnytė-Alešiūnienė is the director of AgriFood, Lithuania – a cluster and a digital innovation hub, which also became an EIT food hub in March 2021. The organisation brings together major research, business, and public stakeholders in Lithuania to transform agriculture, food, and associated sectors with digital-based innovations. Kristina Šermukšnytė-Alešiūnienė has vast experience in product development and innovation management, working with research and development and implementation, information technologies and services, and ICT products on a cross-sectoral basis. She has more than 12 years of experience as an international digitalisation expert in national and international working groups. In July 2022, she was appointed vice-chair of the Food and Agriculture Committee at Business at OECD (BIAC). In 2022, she won the title of European Cluster Manager of the Year. In 2023, she became Vice-President of the European Clusters Alliance.
